CTA is pleased to announce auditions for its brand-new traveling troupe, CTA Second Stage.

What is expected when you audition
Auditions will be held from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, December 2nd, and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, December 5th, at the Children’s Theatre of Annapolis, 1661 Bay Head Road, Annapolis, Md.
Second Stage will consist of approximately 20 teenagers who perform a 30-minute show of musical theatre numbers at various locations within the Annapolis community. The troupe’s goal is to entertain our community, promote CTA’s name in Annapolis, and have fun doing it!
Second Stage auditions are open to 12- to 18-year-olds who can commit to a six-month rehearsal and performance period from January to June 2013. Rehearsals will take place one to two times per week from mid-January 2013 to mid-March 2013, with potential performance opportunities beginning in late March or early April. Performers must be able to attend a schedule performance at CTA on Saturday, May 11th, at the theatre’s annual fundraising gala.
To audition, please prepare 32 bars of two contrasting musical theatre numbers and a one-minute monologue. Come prepared to learn a short dance routine.
