Want to know more about CTA Second Stage? Get the basics here!

What. CTA Second Stage, a traveling performing troupe that will perform a 30-minute musical review at events, festivals, and organizations around the community.

Who. A cast of approximately 20 performers, ages 12 to 18. Auditions will be held from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, December 2nd, and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, December 5th. A cast list will be posted online by Saturday, December 8th.

When. The Parent’s meeting/first rehearsal will take place during the third week of January.  Specific rehearsal dates are TBA, but will take place one to two times per week during February and March (See performances below for additional details). Rehearsals will not conflict with those for The Little Mermaid.

Following that time period, rehearsals will be held on a “brush-up” schedule, meaning the cast will meet to run the performance on a TBA schedule (once every two weeks) to brush up on vocals and dance.

Performances. Second Stage is confirmed to perform at the CTA fundraising gala on Saturday, May 11th. There is a tentative performance at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club in Stevensville at a What’s Up? Magazine children’s event during the day on Saturday, March 30th. Other performances are TBA, but will take place during the months of April, May, and June.**

** Please note that we understand time conflicts and will not require every cast member to be at every show; all musical solos, duets, etc., will have understudies that can perform in a cast member’s absence.

Cost. There is a $100 production fee to be a cast member of CTA Second Stage. If the fee presents a financial burden, please talk to the producer for payment options.
